Overview:
This independent contractor role is responsible for the accurate, timely, and lawful service of legal documents in accordance with Georgia law and court requirements. The Process Server ensures proper documentation, professionalism, and communication while representing Total Resolution Service LLC.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve summonses, complaints, subpoenas, writs, dispossessory notices, and other legal documents

Conduct due diligence to locate individuals and verify service addresses

Complete affidavits of service and return of service documentation accurately and on time

Maintain detailed service logs and status updates for each assignment

Communicate service attempts, issues, and completions with dispatch or clients

Follow all court rules, statutes, and ethical standards governing service of process

Maintain confidentiality and professionalism during all interactions

Use mobile tools or platforms to upload proof of service and photos when required

Meet service deadlines and court filing requirements

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None. This is an independent contractor (1099) position.

Qualifications:

Georgia Certified Process Server (AOC certification required)

Eligible for appointment as a Permanent Process Server in applicable counties

Valid government-issued photo ID

Reliable transportation and smartphone

Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments

Prior process serving, legal, law enforcement, or investigative experience preferred

Schedule:
Flexible | On-demand assignments | Evenings and weekends may be required

Internal Investigator

Columbus, GA

Overview:
This independent contractor role is responsible for conducting thorough, confidential, and objective internal investigations in support of a three-letter federal agency. The Internal Investigator ensures accurate fact-finding, proper documentation, and compliance with all applicable federal policies, legal standards, and security requirements while operating in a high-trust, sensitive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct internal administrative, personnel, and operational investigations involving misconduct, fraud, waste, abuse, policy violations, and other sensitive matters

Investigate issues involving coordination with or actions related to state and federal agencies

Gather, review, and analyze evidence including reports, records, interviews, surveillance, digital materials, and other investigative documentation

Conduct interviews with subjects, witnesses, complainants, and other relevant personnel

Prepare detailed investigative reports, findings, summaries, and case documentation for leadership, legal review, and possible administrative or criminal referral

Maintain case files, evidence records, and investigative documentation in accordance with agency standards and chain-of-custody requirements

Coordinate with agency leadership, legal counsel, human resources, inspectors general, law enforcement, and other oversight entities as required

Identify patterns, trends, and systemic issues discovered during investigations and provide recommendations for corrective action

Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive and classified information

Provide investigative updates and briefings to leadership as needed

Ensure all investigative activities are conducted in compliance with federal regulations, internal policies, and security protocols

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.

Qualifications:

Active Top Secret clearance required

Demonstrated experience conducting investigations involving both state and federal agencies

Strong experience with internal investigations, administrative investigations, workplace misconduct inquiries, or related investigative work

Ability to prepare clear, detailed, and defensible investigative reports

Experience gathering evidence, conducting interviews, and analyzing investigative findings

Strong understanding of investigative procedures, legal standards, and documentation requirements

Ability to work independently and manage multiple investigative matters at one time

High level of discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment

Prior experience supporting a federal agency, inspector general function, law enforcement organization, intelligence organization, or similar environment preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Investigations, Homeland Security, Intelligence, Public Administration, or a related field preferred

Schedule:
Flexible | On-demand assignments | May require coordination during standard business hours, after-hours case activity, and occasional travel depending on assignment needs
